CARVER VOICES - JUNE 2022
CARVER CENTER'S SPECIAL DELIVERY!

Have you heard the news?

Carver Center is the proud owner of a new school bus! Take a look at the latest addition to our family. We are anticipating that we will be getting out on the road in the very near future. Field trips for our teens? Transportation for our seniors? Yes, the possibilities are endless.

Thank you to the A.E. Family Foundation and Impact100 for making this dream come true!
A CARVER CENTER LEGACY AND TREASURE

Lovely Billups asked her friends to donate to the Carver Center for her 90th
birthday and in honor of her daughter, Jill Billups Beltran, a former
Executive Director of Carver Center from 1999-2004, who tragically passed away
at the age of 46.

Mrs. Billups stopped by to deliver the donations to Carver Center accompanied by another former Executive Director, Kerry Walsh.

Pictured is Mike Williams, Kerry Walsh, Lovely Billups and Anne Bradner. FYI, Mike was a "Carver Kid" during Jill's tenure at Carver. A full circle moment!
CAN YOU BUILD A CAR THAT IS PROPELLED BY NOTHING BUT A DEFLATING BALLOON?

This team of creative and energetic sixth grade boys were tasked to do just that.

They have been participating in our after school programming at the Port Chester Middle School and this week they were busy finalizing their project for presentation to the staff.

TEEN SCHOLARS CELEBRATION

We were joined by parents and students for a dinner to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our Teen Center Scholars. Multiple awards were handed out to our Scholars in a variety of categories.

We are so proud of our Senior Scholars achievements especially during a very challenging couple of years. We can't wait to see what the future holds for them.
