Dear Members of the St. Martin’s Community,
During today’s meeting, the Maryland State Board of Education voted to refer the decision regarding the mask mandate to individual counties.
Anne Arundel County made masks optional last Thursday, therefore St. Martin’s Episcopal School will be mask optional for students and faculty beginning tomorrow, February 23. Masks will still be required in large indoor gatherings to include Mustang Rally and Chapel.
As of Monday morning, February 28, we will move to optional masking throughout the school building, provided that the case rate continues to decline as expected.
Given the mask challenges for Preschool students, parents should inform their child's classroom teacher if the mask requirement should continue for their child.
We appreciate your patience through this process and look forward to seeing students' smiling faces tomorrow.
