Fake rabbi and Montana state representative, Ed Stafman, has proposed a bill declaring that abortion is a religious freedom. Feeling confident after Montana voters rejected a recent "born alive protection" initiative, Stafman’s bill would amend a state law that protects pro-life doctors and nurses from being forced to abort unborn babies. It adds a pro-abortion exception that would allow pregnant mothers to abort their unborn babies in the first and second trimesters for “religious freedom” reasons even if state laws protect unborn babies from abortion at these stages. A hearing is scheduled today in the Montana House Judiciary Committee.

This attempt at expanding baby killing in the name of Judaism comes despite a Republican super majority in the Montana State Legislature that has lacked the necessary leadership to save innocent unborn lives in the Treasure State.They've been unable to get a state constitutional amendment to a 1999 Montana Supreme Court ruling that included abortion in the state's right to privacy law.

Pro-life representatives need educated on how to debate Jewish pro-abortion arguments based on religious freedom. The distorted idea that abortion is a Jewish value needs to be corrected and replaced with the truth: Jewish law prohibits abortion. The exception allowed to save the life of a woman facing physical demise because of a pregnancy does not constitute a religious right protected under Jewish law, or state and federal religious freedom laws.
Abortion described as a life saving measure misleads everyone on all sides of this issue. Violently ending the life of an innocent child is no longer necessary to save the life of a mother, a rare condition that occurs in later stages of pregnancy when the baby can be gently removed from the uterus and possibly saved or given a dignified burial. This avoids unnecessary physical, emotional, mental and spiritual trauma to the mother and all involved.
