Volume  8, Issue 3
September 22, 2017
Greetings!

On Wednesday, September 27, the 9/11 Tribute Museum is holding a first-time storytelling workshop for PA/PATH employees and retirees. The idea is that including PA/PATH retirees will help everyone who lived through this tragedy share their stories about how September 11, 2001 affected their lives.

This is one of the last events as part of the PA's 10th Annual Remembrance Through Renewal (RTR) community service program, which continues to the end of September. This program commemorates the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001.

When you get to EventBrite to sign up, and we hope you do, use the code rtr2017.

Should you need particular help with sign-up, please email Siobhan Buchta at sbuchta@panynj.gov or call her at 201-346-4183.

The fact that active and retired employees of the Port Authority and PATH will be volunteering side by side once again helps strengthen the connection among us.

As always, thank you for your continuing support of PARA.

What is PARA?
The Port Authority Retirees Association (PARA), a not-for-profit corporation, was formed in 1989 to promote the welfare of retirees of the Port Authority (and PATH). That is accomplished by PARA's acting as spokesperson for Port Authority retirees. We foster and encourage legislation that maintains or improves our circumstances primarily as it affects the pensions of the New York State Retirement System. PARA now has some 4,100 members residing in 39 states and 12 countries. PARA maintains an active affiliation with the Alliance of Public Retiree Organizations (APRO) representing more than 350,000 members throughout New York State.
