Winter Deadline Approaching
Group Study Visit

DAAD offers financial support for subject-related academic information visits to Germany organized by faculty members for groups of students. Group Study Visit grants are intended to encourage contact with academic institutions, groups and individuals in Germany, and offer insight into current issues in the academic, scientific, economic, political and cultural realms.

Head of Programs, DWIH

The German Center for Research and Innovation New York (DWIH) is seeking a full-time, in-house Head of Programs. The Head of Programs will work closely together with the Executive Director of the DWIH and will be responsible for communications and outreach strategy, growing and maintaining the DWIH’s extensive network, and developing and managing events in accordance with DWIH’s primary goals.

A Direct Route to Studying in Germany
Study Bridge

The Goethe-Institut’s Study Bridge, in partnership with DAAD and select German universities, is a program specifically designed to prepare high school students from the US wishing to embark directly on a course of study in Germany. The program also introduces participants to Germany’s teaching, learning, and campus culture and familiarizes them with the German social environment. Successful graduates of the university preparatory program can apply to one of the program’s partner universities after graduating from high school. Scholarships are available.

Coffee Connections Podcast

Hanni Geist of DAAD's San Francisco Information Center has released a new episode in her DAAD podcast series, "Coffee Connections." This episode features Zachary Nanji, a student at McGill University in Montreal and DAAD Young Ambassador. Tune in to hear Zachary reflect on his exchange experience and his role as a DAAD Young Ambassador!

Holocaust Remembrance Day
On January 27, DAAD joined others around the world in recognizing International Holocaust Remembrance Day, which marks the liberation of the Nazis' Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp in Poland, 77 years ago. We honor the memory of the victims of the Holocaust on this solemn day.
