Blessings Theresa!

Bible Study

Mark 4:1-34 "Listen!" "Hear!" Why do you think listening and hearing are mentioned so much by Jesus in this text? How important are they in your faith life? Do you take time to listen and hear what God is sharing? What's something that God has shared with you? Is it a big revelation or a nugget you hold onto? What have you done with the information?

Blessings, Pastor Ann.

URGENT!!! PLEDGE CARDS NEEDED!

Steve is working on the financial annual report, which includes the projected budget for 2024. It seems we are missing several pledge cards. He requested we put in an urgent plea in the newsletter in hopes that we would receive more pledge cards THIS WEEK. You can turn them into Steve, Dick, or Denise.

I am working on the next few craft projects for the kids, but I need your help!

  • Does anyone have a metal stamper, or the ability to borrow one? If you look at this link for washer bracelets, you'll understand what I want to achieve. If you also look at this link it shows you the tool needed to truly customize the bracelets for a certain project.

  • Does anyone have enough friendship bracelet material they could spare for 12 kids to use during a craft?

  • Does anyone have any mod podge they can donate?

  • I know scheduling all the children at the same time is challenging, so I have come up with a super simple at home project as a solution to something else I am working on! Could you take some colorful construction paper, trace each hand of each child, and then cut them out and bring to church? Make sure you write on the back side who the hand belongs to...your name won't be displayed, it just helps me keep track of whose hands I have! Feel free to get creative at home with your paper hands! If you want to glitter them up, or color them in, or attach sequins.......that is just fine!

  • ALSO.........see below picture! We are wanting to collect and save Christmas cards for a project for next Christmas......so before you throw them out........ps........other special occasion or holiday cards are desired as well!!

News From St. Luke's

Mother Lea's father in law has passed away.

Kevin's father Richard Hugh Colvill recently died of Covid and a decreasing ability to swallow food correctly. It was the first time he had Covid. Dick was 96 and a lifelong public servant in the Army Corps of Engineers and as a civil engineer in Anchorage and Missoula. It was a near perfect death. He saw all of his children within the last few days and died in his own bed. The family was contemplating hospice but that would have required a move. A move meant separation from Edna, Kevin's mother. They have been married 70 years so that would be stressful for everyone. Kevin was there for last rites with his mother, one sister and one brother. At least Kevin and his dad had the four important conversations. You can send or drop off a card to the church. 270 N. Placer Ave. Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402
