Happy New Year FL CCIM Chapter Members!

I am honored and humbled to be your President this year, as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the FL CCIM Chapter. I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the outstanding and inspiring CCIM leaders who have served before me. The FL Chapter successes have been nothing short of amazing.  From providing enhanced opportunities for engagement to delivering award-winning education, facilitating a record number of scholarships, and welcoming a growing number of new CCIM Designees. In the year ahead, I am committed to building upon these successes and further enhancing your experience as a valued member of the Florida Chapter.

The 2024 CRE market is evolving, with both opportunities and challenges on the horizon. The Florida Chapter is committed to equipping our members with the knowledge and resources to navigate these challenges successfully. We begin the year with an event in Tallahassee on January 9th, during Florida Realtor’s Great American REALTOR Days (GARD), to discuss the Business Rent Tax Reduction and Insurance – two very important issues for our members. I encourage you to join us.  Our Mid-Winter meetings and events will be held in Orlando, on January 18th-19th, and include a combined Commercial and Global Networking Session, an educational presentation by the esteemed Cynthia Shelton, CCIM, a Candidate Development Workshop, and a delightful Membership Dinner at Maggiano’s Little Italy. We would love to see you all there! I also encourage you to take advantage of the many events offered by our eight districts, across the state of Florida. See our calendar for upcoming opportunities.

The 2024 Educational courses have been scheduled and are underway, accompanied by the diligent efforts of our Social Committee that is planning an exciting lineup of quarterly informative webinars and activities. We understand the power of strategic partnerships and have restructured our sponsorship program to help businesses like yours reach a highly engaged audience of CRE industry professionals.  Our Commercial Alliance program continues to expand, build, and strengthen, as we look for additional ways to increase membership and move the Chapter forward.

I’m excited to work with the elected leadership team, our dedicated members, and our esteemed sponsors. Thank you for your investment and commitment to our Chapter.

Wishing you a New Year filled with meaningful connections, growth, resilience, and success.

Cheers!

Liz Menéndez, CCIM
