Public Notice: Redistricting Work Underway
Following each decennial Census Camden County must complete a redistricting process to balance the voting districts within our community. Camden County is working with the Georgia General Assembly’s Legislative and Congressional Reapportionment Office to update the five districts in Camden County based on the population counted in the 2020 Census. 

Camden County citizens are encouraged to make comments on redistricting via the Camden County website, www.camdencountyga.gov/redistricting. These comments will be shared with the Camden County Board of Commissioners. 

Camden County Temporarily Pays Ridership Fees
At their November 16, 2021, regular meeting, the Camden County Board of Commissioners approved the request to authorize American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to temporarily pay ridership fees for the Coastal Regional Coaches in Camden County. 

“This is an excellent opportunity to assist our neighbors that need transportation support,” said Gary Blount, Chairman, Camden County Board of Commissioners. “We are proud to partner with the City of St. Marys to provide funding for ridership fees for our local residents.”

Camden County Awarded Two State Homeland Security Grants

At their November 16, 2021, regular meeting, the Camden County Board of Commissioners accepted two State Homeland Security Program (SHSP) grants totaling $21,710 from the Georgia Emergency Management Agency and Homeland Security Agency (GEMA/HS).

Camden County Seeks Applicants for the Coastal Workforce Development Board
The Camden County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants from the hospitality industry to fill one (1) vacancy on the Coastal Workforce Development Board (CWDB) as a County representative. 


Thanksgiving Schedule Changes

Camden County Offices and Courts are closed on Thursday, November 25, and Friday, November 26, 2021 for Thanksgiving. Offices and courts will re-open with a regular schedule on Monday, November 29, 2021.

Curbside Collection Services for unincorporated Camden County will not run on Thursday, November 25, 2021, and will be one day later for the remainder of the week.

The Camden County Landfills are closed on Thursday, November 25, 2021, and will re-open with regular hours on Friday, November 26, 2021.
DEADLINE EXTENDED
2021 Showcase Camden County Photo Contest
Camden County citizens are encouraged to enter the 2021 📸 Showcase Camden County Photo Contest. The deadline for the 2021 contest has been extended to Friday, December 10, 2021. Photographers are asked to submit their best photos of Camden County, Georgia and its sunrises, sunsets, wildlife, as well as historic and scenic locations.
