BEING NON-JUDGMENTAL

John 8:3-11 tells the story where the Temple rulers, the Pharisees and Scribes, brought to Jesus a woman caught in the act of adultery. They spoke to Jesus about the Mosaic Law which demanded such a person to be stoned to death. They asked for His judgment.

How did Jesus respond? Verse 7 gives His answer. “He that is without sin (a sinless one) among you, let him be first to cast a stone at her.” None could do it. They all slunk away. Jesus did not condemn her.

What do you and I take away from this story? We all have had our own faults. We all have sinned. (Romans 6:23.) We are not to be judgmental of unsaved sinners because we once were unsaved sinners ourselves. Furthermore, a judgmental attitude only drives the lost

 sinner farther away.

The only ones we are told in scripture to judge are our own fellow believers. Then, that should be correction done in a caring and loving manner, not in harsh words or actions.

We are to be non-judgmental with those of the world. We may speak to them about right and wrong. We do not “approve” of their sin. However, we do not condemn or judge the person themselves.

The bible cautions us elsewhere to not judge others. Jesus did not judge the adulteress. He told her in John 8:11, “Neither do I condemn thee. Go, and sin no more.”

SET UP BY GOD

I don’t think there is any greater joy than to see someone receive Jesus as their savior, and you were given the privilege of doing it with them.

Let me share a story that happened yesterday. I had gone to the grocery store after a visit to the doctor with Russell and picked up a few items and brought them home. We have a van, and I had put the groceries in the back where the hatch door is.

Russell had gotten out of the car and left his door open. I took the groceries inside and forgot to shut the passenger door. When I went to bed about five hours later, I checked our security camera and it showed the door was open. I slipped outside and shut the door, noticing that the lights in the van weren’t on.

I was concerned that the battery had gone dead, so yesterday morning I went out to see if the van would start and it did. I had something to put into the back, but the hatch latch would not open the hatch. I tried several times to no avail. Russell also tried to open it, but it would not open.

I decided to go to the dealership, and have it fixed, since we need to be able to open that hatch. Upon arriving, there were no other cars waiting for service. A young man that worked at the dealership walked up to my van and I told him what happened. He went to the rear of the car to check it and it popped open immediately. I went around to speak with him, and told him that it had to be God that fixed it. He replied with “God works in mysterious ways, for sure.”

I asked him where he went to church, and he told me he had just started going to a church with his girlfriend and her family. He also said he wasn’t raised in church. I then asked him if he had surrendered his life to Jesus and he said, “No.”

I asked him if he knew that hell was his destination if he died, and he said yes. I then told him that he needed to get his life right with God and invite Jesus to be his savior. He said “Yes.” I prayed with him, and he received salvation. Now, you can’t tell me that God didn’t set this up, because I know that He did. There is no problem at all with that latch, but God wanted this young man to receive salvation, and knew I would be willing to share the Lord with him. It was a set up by God!

What a mighty God we serve. So often, God tries to set up situations and unknowingly we resist the set up because we get upset with circumstances. How much easier it is to “flow with Holy Spirit” regardless of the issues we face.

There are souls waiting for salvation my friend. Are you willing to be set up by God? If so, I guarantee that He will do just that!

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION

1-18-2023

Just because you don't know something does not make you stupid! It just means that you haven't learned it yet. There are a lot of educated fools that have no common sense.

Don't be so hard on yourself. God gifts each of us differently. He enjoys who He made, so why not just enjoy being who you are! You are a one of a kind individual that no one else can duplicate!

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION

1-17-2023

Don’t be fretting yourself…For IF God opened that door for you. You can count on one thing for certain and that is; Absolutely no one or no thing will be able to shut it. You see when God gives you a Word...He promised you that He WILL perform that Word for you. (Jer. 1:2) So look up for there’s a new day dawning and it has your name on it. Don’t you ever allow yourself to become discouraged with what looks like a delay. It’s a fact that sometimes a DELAY can actually prove to be your best friend. There’ll be times in your Christian walk when a genuine God DELAY; Indeed may stop you from making a wrong decision. Yes, it’s those same kind of DECISIONS that could cause you to take a DETOUR that would be DETRIMENTAL to your DESTINY and to your well being. So always keep in mind this one important thing…Not all DELAYS are DENIALS; But sometimes a DELAY is simply God’s PROTECTION plan all wrapped up as a DELAY…While all along you’re thinking it was a DENIAL.
