Intern Spotlight
Meet Shriya Pinisetty
Shriya wanted to be a part of the GVCO High School Internship program because she wanted to find a way to give back to the community. She likes to plan and organize events and thought that these skills would be an asset to the program. Shriya believes that the internship will allow her the opportunity to work on her communication skills and will be a great learning experience.
Shriya is very proud of was how she planned and executed a food drive in her neighborhood for the Chester County Food Bank. By engaging other students and spreading awareness, Shriya was able to recruit 30 student volunteers to help with the food drive and make it a huge success.
When asked what is the best thing about the Great Valley Community, Shriya said: I moved to the Great Valley School District in sixth grade, and almost immediately, I felt that the Great Valley Community was so welcoming to new people and always had numerous opportunities for people to grow and try new things.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health
Changing the World – one person, one family, one community at a time
|
|
With its mission, Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health changes lives by unlocking and nurturing human potential for people living with emotional, behavioral or cognitive differences. Devereux serves children and adolescents from ages birth to 21 with emotional and behavioral health challenges across southeastern Pennsylvania. These children are cared for in the environment best suited for their growth and well-being, including acute care, residential treatment, approved private schools, foster care and outpatient services. All of our programs embrace four significant essentials of treatment: family engagement, functional behavior assessment, trauma-informed care and positive behavior support.
Devereux has locations in Malvern, Devon, East Goshen, as well as numerous others across southeasten Pennsylvania. Our GV families and the Great Valley Community Organization are committed to assisting our wonderful partners here in our district/region, in an effort to build a stronger community through helping those partners meet their mission and vision.

McAneney Family
Volunteers are the cornerstone of the Great Valley Community Organization and Vince McAneney is no exception. Vince and his wife, Debbie first got involved when their children participated in GVBL and the Challenger Gym Program. Scott continued to play GVBL straight through to the High School League while Erica & Shannon volunteered to become Buddies for the Challenger Gym Program and Ryan donated his shredding services at R-Mobile Shredding to numerous GVCO fundraisers.
When GVCO started GVFL, Vince jumped right in to coach his son Scott and his buddies. A year later he became President of the league and held that position for 7+ years, stepping down at the end of the 2018 season. His fondest memory was when he coached with his son Scott – such a great experience for father and son. Vince hopes that others in the community would take advantage of all the great things GVCO is doing and use those opportunities as a way to further connect with their own kids and the entire Great Valley Community. Vince believes that time invested in our youth is never wasted and encourages anyone thinking of making a bigger commitment to GVCO, whether through volunteering or donating, to “Just Do It”.
