Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowl
During this holy time, we are called to pause and pay closer attention to our relationship with God and our neighbors. Reflect on how the Lenten pillars of prayer, fasting and almsgiving can guide your journey and how the Eucharist helps us to live in solidarity with our sisters and brothers around the world. Visit Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Rice Bowl web page here to access the Lenten calendar, learn more about people around the world being assisted by CRS, get meatless recipes, and gain an opportunity to practice almsgiving through your support of the Rice Bowl.
Breaking News: Parenting Isn’t Easy
You’ve heard the phrase, “the cycle of poverty.” But did you know there’s a “cycle of poor parenting” that affects generations of children in Kentucky? Parenting isn’t easy, especially if you lack resources. Catholic Charities’ Community Support Services helps break the cycle of poor parenting by offering parenting skills training to people in need. Catholic Charities lifts families up through programs like Mother-Infant Care, offering pregnancy education and newborn care classes, and Mama Matters social-emotional support groups for moms with children 5 years and under. For more information on these and other CCS programs, email Alayna Pearson here or call 502-637-9786 ext. 319.
