Roslyn Public Schools

SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS

December 23, 2022

Dear Roslyn Families,

This time of year is always special, as we gather with our loved ones and celebrate the blessings in our lives. It is also a time to reflect on the year that has passed and prepare to usher in the New Year.

As we head into the holiday recess, I want to extend my deep gratitude to our innovative Board of Education, our dedicated teachers, staff, and administrators, our talented students, our engaged parents and guardians, and our passionate community partners for their tireless work and dedication to the Roslyn School District.

This season, it has been wonderful to see our schools embrace the spirit of giving. Our high school students hosted a blood drive and collected socks to donate to the Ali Forney Center for homeless youth, our middle school students sewed holiday projects to donate to the Family and Children's Association, and a districtwide toy drive was held to gather donations for the John Theissen Children’s Foundation. Our PFA also organized coat, turkey, and gift card drives to help local families purchase holiday necessities. We are so proud of our students and our community partners for their commitment to help others.

I am honored to be your superintendent and grateful to be a part of such a wonderful community. I hope you enjoy some well-deserved time off with your families and loved ones during the recess. I look forward to all that we will achieve together in the New Year.

On behalf of the Roslyn Board of Education, best wishes for a joyous holiday season and a happy and healthy New Year!

Sincerely,

Allison Brown

Superintendent of Schools
