Commemorative Trees:

A Special Dedication

A commemorative tree is a wonderful way to memorialize a loved one or celebrate a special event while also contributing to the health and vibrance of Newport’s urban forest. This spring, you can sponsor a tree to be planted in the city of Newport as a living part of the landscape dedicated to something or someone special of your choosing. Simply click the link below to learn more and to browse a map of available public space sites for your commemorative tree. The deadline for spring planting applications is March 15, 2024. Be on the lookout for the return of our Community Tree Program, as well!

Introducing Field Notes in 2024

The Newport Tree Conservancy is dedicated to fostering a healthy growing urban forest for the benefit of present and future citizens of Newport. We are able to meet our mission and provide amazing benefits for the community through donations and partnerships. With that in mind, we want to make sure that our members and supporters know what we're up to in the field - and who is joining us for this important work.

Starting this month, we will be sending out our Field Notes between newsletters. This brief feature will include information on organizations and businesses who partner with and support our mission, as well as NTC quick highlights. We will also be shouting out group and organization program partners, opportunities for individual supporters like volunteering for Tree Corps, and more.

Thank you so much for all of your continued support as we plant for the future!
