Dear Middle School Parents,

Next week your middle school student will take the End of Grade (EOG) tests. You can use this link for more information about these tests. On the following dates, it is PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT that your child arrives to school on time:

  • May 16 - Math EOG (Grades 5,6,7,8), Math I & II EOC
  • May 17 - Reading (Grades 5,6,7,8)
  • May 18 - Science (Grades 5 & 8 only); Math I (Grade 7)

We are looking for volunteers to proctor MS EOG and EOC tests. Please click here to choose your proctor time.

LNC prides itself on providing ALL students with conditions most conducive to successful testing. This is a vital part of providing a fair opportunity for EVERY student to perform his or her best. Please understand that students WILL NOT be allowed to check out of school prior to the end of the testing session. That said, if you anticipate the need to check your student out early on any of these 3 dates, PLEASE plan to take advantage of the EOG test make-up session on May 19.

Here are a few testing notes:

  • Students are encouraged to bring a book to read if they finish testing prior to the end of the testing session.

  • Please ensure that your student brings their FULLY CHARGED iPad and two #2 pencils to school each day of testing. We ask that your student bring only what they need in order to complete testing on test days. Students should store all personal belongings in their locker.

  • We want to remind you that cell phones and any other electronic devices, including Apple/smart watches, are prohibited in the testing room. If at all possible, students are to keep their cell phone/electronic devices/smart watches at home on test days. If their cell phone/electronic device/smart watch is at school, it MUST be turned off and in their locker on all testing days. Please have a conversation with your student about their personal devices. Per state policy, any student found in possession of a cell phone/electronic device/smart watch during testing WILL BE DISMISSED and a test misadministration declared. This is 100% preventable and per LNC policy, a disruption of this nature would be a Class III offense. Any student who is responsible for a disruption of this nature should anticipate maximum consequences.

  • As always, to best prepare your student for success, it is critical that on the nights before testing student(s) eat a nutritious dinner and get a good night's sleep, and they have a complete breakfast on each morning of testing.

Thank you for your support and Go Knights!
