The NAC Executive Committee met on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. A summary of the meeting can be found here.

The full NAC will meet on Thursday, January 13, 2022. The summary of that meeting will be shared with membership early next week.
NEW: MOAA - Not a Member? Join Today!

Not sure what MOAA is or how it could benefit your athletics department? MOAA stands for Minority Opportunities in Athletics Association. The goal of this organization is to advocate increased participation and administrative opportunities for minorities in athletics. MOAA also promotes generating a sports culture that supports the values necessary to teach and learn respect for self and others.

NAIA Governance Academy Nominations Due February 1

Nominations for the NAIA Governance Academy, which will take place on April 7, 2022, are due February 1. The one-day event will provide training on NAIA governance issues and strategic initiatives, introduce participants to NAIA committee work, offer mentoring opportunities, and prepare minority administrators for committee service.
 
The goal is for there to be one minority representative from each conference participating. The Governance Academy is part is an effort to increase diverse representation for NAIA governing bodies, councils, and committees.

2022 National Convention Registration Will Open in January

The 81st Annual NAIA National Convention will be held April 8-12, 2022 in Kansas City, Missouri. Convention and hotel registration will open in mid-January.

NAIA President & CEO Jim Carr was the featured guest on the Higher Ed Advisor Podcast: NAIA Helps Institutions Align Student Success Strategies with Collegiate Athletics. He shared insights about the NAIA's Return on Athletics® initiative and how athletics can be used to drive enrollment and revenue.
Eligibility
NEW: Welcome Meggie Dye

Meggie Dye has joined the NAIA Eligibility Center as the Team Lead of Domestic Eligibility. Meggie has a BS in community health management from the University of Oklahoma and a MSE in sport management from the University of Kansas. She has previously worked with the NAIA’s eligibility center and legislative services teams and at KU’s Learfield team. We’re thrilled to welcome her back to the NAIA Eligibility Center.

InCred
Adjusted Hours for InCred Phone Lines

The InCred office is temporarily adjusting its schedule to accept live calls between 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Central. This will allow more time for InCred staff to process the current high volume of applicants. Once the number of applicants decreases, InCred plans to return to answering calls during the standard business hours of 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Central. We appreciate your patience.
