Sunapee Happenings

Tra-la, it’s May, the Merry Month of May…

On this coming Sunday in May, we celebrate all mothers with hugs and flowers and expressions of our love.

CUE THE MUSIC

May 12th: Friday night at the Sunapee Coffeehouse opens with Carl Beverly and then it’s "Open Mic Hour”. Come and share your talents.

Open Mic Nite at the Sunapee CoffeeHouse is the perfect opportunity for local musicians to showcase their talents and for music lovers to discover new artists. Whether you're a seasoned performer or just starting out, we welcome all levels of experience to take the stage. Our intimate setting and supportive atmosphere make it the perfect place to share your music with a friendly audience. Don't miss this chance to be a part of the musical magic at the Sunapee CoffeeHouse — we can't wait to hear what you've got! And who knows, maybe you'll even be the one to create that magic.

Zach Nugent’s Dead Set

Fri, May 19 @ 7:30pm

At LOH, guitarist/vocalist Zach Nugent celebrates the 45th anniversary of Grateful Dead’s one-and-only New Hampshire concert: a May 5, 1978 appearance at Dartmouth College’s Thompson Arena as part of Green Key Weekend.

With his Dead Set band, the noted Vermont-based Grateful Dead expert (and former member of Melvin Seals & JGB) will faithfully re-create the Hanover set list song-for-song — from Promised Land to a Werewolves of London encore — with original GD gear on stage.

Choose your own adventure! In an effort to keep the atmosphere friendly and fun, we’re offering two seating experiences for this performance:

If you’d like to sit close to the action with the freedom to stand and groove in place, choose a General Admission ticket in the orchestra level. Orchestra seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you’d prefer to have an assigned location where those around you remain seated during the show, grab a Reserved ticket in the balcony. Learn More

Volunteer Lake Assessment Program

VLAP was launched in 1985 to establish a citizen-based lake sampling program to assist NHDES in evaluating lake quality throughout the state, and to empower citizens with information about the health of the state’s lakes and ponds. This cooperative effort allows state biologists and lake associations to make educated decisions regarding the future of New Hampshire’s lakes and ponds. LSPA is hosting VLAP's Annual Workshop.
