Mayor's Youth Mental Wellness Event

Join us for a special Mayor's Youth Mental Wellness Event, presented by the Beverly Hills Teen Advisory Committee in partnership with Mayor Bosse's Mental Wellness Series. Listen to Keynote Speakers Noah Raff, Peiman Raff and Mason Spector, Co-founders of Madhappy™, a fashion and lifestyle brand and podcast focused on mental health.

The afternoon also includes mental health and wellness booths offering valuable resources and Arts & Culture Workshops for creative expression that include Ceramics Remix with Remainders Creative Reuse, Screen Printing with Self-Help Graphics, Custom and Personalized Poetry with Poet Laureate Brian Sonia-Wallace, and Collective Mural Making with artist and designer Parisa Parnian.

Guess Who's Coming to Dinner

Join us for a live theater production of “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner,” the 1967 award-winning film about an interracial couple and the obstacles they faced at that time. This production is brought to us by Theatre 40, in partnership with the City of Beverly Hills.

Children's Winter Storytime

Children’s librarians present Storytime every Tuesday (outside, in Civic Center Plaza), and Wednesday and Thursday (inside, in the library auditorium) featuring age-appropriate stories, songs and activities for 1-5 years of age.   
Community Assistance Grant Funding
Applications Available – Deadline to apply: January 23 
 
Applications are now available for Community Assistance Grant Funding to providers of services for the community’s most vulnerable populations. Organizations that are vital to the health and welfare of the local and regional community are encouraged to apply. 
Congrats to Clark Dikeman!

Aquatics instructor and adult educator, Clark Dikeman was recognized with the Recreation and Parks Commission Award for December.  Dikeman served the community for over 20 years in recreation, from BHHS’s pool lifeguard to adult education exercise instructor, BHUSD substitute teacher and swim/exercise coach, always in a positive, encouraging, motivating and considerate manner.
 
If you know an individual, group or business that goes above and beyond in their dedication and services in their commitment to the field of Recreation and Parks, take the time to nominate them. 
Farmers' Market Closures
January 1 and March 18

The Beverly Hills Farmers’ Market will be closed on Sunday, January 1 due to the New Year’s Holiday, and Sunday, March 18 due to the Los Angeles Marathon. 
 
 The Beverly Hills Farmers' Market is a weekly outdoor certified market with over 50 vendors/farmers providing the finest California-grown, fresh and seasonal fruits and vegetables, juices, breads, specialty items and more in a festive outdoor setting.
