Jolene continues to crush during her international tennis travels.
She was on a three-week tour in November traveling to Costa Rica with the Aforza Team. This time she is traveling solo on a three-week tour in Sri Lanka and Nepal.
The highlight of Jolene’s trip was when competing in Sri Lanka. She reached the quarter finals of singles and doubles. She ousted Raja SarvagnyaKilaru (#1949) in the 1st RD and then proceeded to follow up that win over local Vishmi Onethra Serasinghe (#2149). Her singles run came to a halt in the quarterfinals against Camille Fisette (#943) from Belgium. Jolene and her partner lost in the quarterfinals of doubles to eventual champions Ji Hyun Kang & Chaewon Whang from Republic of Korea 7-6 (1) 6-0.
Jolene started her tennis journey when she was 9 years old, playing 3 days/week in our U12 Program. She now trains full time in the prestigious Elite Academy program. 5 years of hard work, sacrifice, discipline, and dedication she is now ranked #1219 in the world for juniors.
Next up for Jolene is to continue her training as she prepares for Provincials in March. After that she will hopefully qualify for a spot at U16 Fischer Indoor Nationals hosted in Montreal Quebec.
