Dear HPN members,

We hope you had a loving Valentine’s Day on Monday! We pray that you experienced the crazy, extraordinary, exciting, unconditional love of God - for ultimately that’s all that matters! Here is a scripture to encourage you as you experience God's love today and every day, and how you can show God's love to the world. Can we love people this much?:

"When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you... Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them." John 13:12- 17

Christmas Concert Follow-up

For those outside of LA, your prayers worked miracles, and we are honored to have your continued prayers and financial support. Many of you generously donated money that paid for struggling artists to come to the event and you blessed hundreds of people! THANK YOU!

We also received a thrilling update from Young Lives that the outcome of being represented at HPN's event has caused a new level of interest in their ministry! Paramount Acquires Viacom/CBS

Please pray for a news breaking update from Hollywood. Paramount Studios has acquired Viacom/CBS and the new merger will be called Paramount. Viacom/CBS is retiring and CBS Television, which began in 1927 as Columbia Broadcasting System has sold off their existing studios as it folds into Paramount. Please pray for this huge merger and the impact it will have on our industry. America's media is slowly being owned by only a few powerful corporations, which impacts our industry and our culture.



Social Media Weighs in on Award Season

Are you praying for the impact of SOCIAL MEDIA on our culture and our world? To show the incredible influence of social media platforms on our industry, the Motion Picture Academy just added “Best Film” from Twitter followers on this year’s broadcast! Beginning this Monday, Twitter users will get to vote on their favorite films from 2021 — even if the film wasn't nominated for an Oscar — using the hashtag #OscarsFanFavorite. The film that receives the most fan votes by March 3 will be recognized during the awards broadcast on March 27th.

So, if you’re on Twitter, why don’t you place a vote for your favorite film so that the Academy can hear from Christians! Also, pray for other Christians to use their voice on social media. We know that millions of Christians are on social media, so let’s make a difference by voting for the films that we enjoy! Christians need to be a part of the culture in order to impact it for God’s glory. We can’t just turn our heads and think things will get better! Let’s be radical Christians and make an eternal difference - even on social media!! 

Celebrate Independent Filmmakers

We often ask you to pray for known Hollywood celebrities or major studio projects or issues, but today we ask you to pray for all of the INDEPENDENT FILMMAKERS who are struggling to get their films made, trying to raise the needed money, or get the right talent to complete a passion project. It’s incredibly difficult to be a freelance filmmaker and not many have the clout, power or status of the “famous” filmmakers.

There are thousands of Christians struggling every day to make a living, finish a project or reach an artistic goal. Here is a request from one such filmmaker: “There are a lot of us little folks whose projects don't get mentioned. I realize such a list would be huge, and certainly too lengthy for inclusion in your Call Sheets. Even so, I would like to please ask that you at least bring small projects like mine to the attention of your HPN Pray-ers!"
