VCNP Southside Region poses at the 2020 VCNP Annual Conference at Hilton Norfolk The Main
Last week I had the honor of representing Virginia at AANP’s National Conference. NPs are doing incredible things, and we want to let the world know. In July and August, we're highlighting NP business owners and emergency medicine, dermatology and pediatric NPs in our VCNP communications. If you own a business or work in one of those specialties, please contact VCNP staff.

Changes coming on Friday
In a recent UVAToday story, Piedmont Region members Brooke Bailey and Kathryn Reid discussed the benefits of autonomous practice licensure and urged NPs to apply before regulations change on July 1.
Beginning this Friday, NPs will return to the 5-year experience requirement to apply for autonomous practice licensure. NPs who have applied for their licenses before that date will be able to retain them. If you have 2 years of experience, apply by June 30!
