Institutions: Lamentations 3:21-23 (The Inclusive Bible); 1 Corinthians 11: 23-26 (NRSVUE)
There is a growing distrust of many institutions, especially among younger generations. Whether trusted or not, however, we are all deeply embedded in any number of institutions and their practices. Jesus was often found calling into question the motivations and meanings behind the practices of the institutions of his day even as he pointed the church toward institutions of our own. What do we pass along to the next generation – and with what care? The stakes have never been higher. Will we rise up anew?
Join us for worship on Sunday as Mark interviews long-time friend and colleague, Rev. Courtney Richards (Learn more about Courtney here), as we conclude our series, "The Shape of Our Lives."
“For I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you…” (1 Cor. 11:23a)
Don't miss this Sacred Interview: Mark Briley with Rev. Courtney Richards.
You may also join Courtney during the Discipleship Hour (10:10-11:00 am) to learn more about the work of Week Of Compassion.

Did Your Team Win?
The barrels are still in the front entry and ready to receive your donations this final Sunday. If your team didn't win, make sure your team outscores with your cans/votes leading to victory!

This Lenten season, children's programming will center around big emotions. Why they are important, and how to navigate them. We will explore Fear, Anger, Sadness and Joy, using the movie Inside Out as inspiration.
We will use clips of the movie, but if you have access to it, a family viewing would be helpful prior to the Wednesday evening classes starting March 1st.

The Pathways students are singing You Are Holy during worship at 10:30am on February 26. Pathways and Worship & Wonder will meet for Sunday school at 9am.

The weather is chilly and we're ready for chili! Get ready for a little friendly competition and some good eats on Sunday March 12th, when we have our chili cookoff and congregational meeting. Donations needed! If you're not a chili chef, no sweat - we are asking for donated dessert items too! We will also need volunteers to help set up, serve food, and clean up. NOTE: Specialty dishes such as vegetarian, vegan, low heat, dairy free, gluten free, etc. are encouraged! Thank you, thank you! Sign up HERE.
