Counselors Connection
Senior College Application Updates
Mid-year transcripts will automatically be submitted for seniors who requested initial transcripts to be sent to private colleges. Students do NOT need to ask their counselor to send mid-year reports or to request additional transcripts.

Also, seniors who added or dropped a course since submitting their UC/CSU application, AND/OR earned any D's/F's last semester, must notify each campus that they applied to. Failure to do so could result in the rescinding of admissions offers.

Community College Courses at Mills this Spring
Starting the week of February 7th, Skyline College will offer two dual enrollment courses: Gateway to Health Careers and Creativity and Innovation in Entrepreneurship. Students will learn practical career skills while earning free college credits! Dual enrollment courses earn a GPA point increase (similar to AP courses). For more info, please see our Dual Enrollment website. To register, students should contact their school counselor.

Senior Grad Night Meeting January 11th at 7:00 PM
Hello Senior Parents,
It’s time to plan for our Senior Grad Night in Mills High School! As graduation approaches for 2022 high school seniors in Mills, there’s no doubt that plans for college, careers, and what they’re going to do with the rest of their young lives are in front of them. Perhaps the most exciting question seniors are pondering before graduation—“where will we go for senior grad night? Back in Oct 2021, we sent out a Grad Night location survey to all the seniors, and by popular demand, 96% of our seniors wanted to visit Universal Studios on June 3rd, 2022. We want to take this opportunity to invite you to join our Grad Night Senior Parents Meeting on Jan. 11th, 2022, at 7 pm via Zoom to form a parent planning committee to plan:
  • Grad night transportation
  • Grad night chaperones
  • Grad night logistics
  • Fundraising
  • Other ways to celebrate seniors (like lawn signs, swag bags, etc.)
  • How to support the graduation ceremony
Mr. Jose Gómez (our Assistant Principal Gómez) will be joining us on Jan. 11th, 2022 to answer any district questions. Any new ideas are welcome in our meeting.

Annual Fund Campaign 2021-2022
Dear Mills Families and Friends,

Happy New Year! We hope you enjoyed the holidays with your loved ones. We are reaching out to ask you to donate to the Mills Annual Fund. A big thank you to the families and staff that have already donated.

What is the Mills Annual Fund?
As many of you know, the school district’s annual operating budget allocation for Mills doesn’t fully cover the costs of all that Mills needs each year. The Mills Annual Fund was created to bridge that funding gap to ensure that we do all we can to support our kids’ learning experience. The Annual Fund supports a wide variety of school needs including technology, Chromebooks, scientific calculators, science lab materials, teacher education, student counseling and clubs, just to name a few.

We Need You
Your contribution, of any amount, will allow such technology to be purchased, directly improving your student's virtual and in-person classroom experience.

Please join us in making a difference for ALL Mills students with a donation to the Annual Fund. You can make a donation through this link https://millsannualfund.dojiggy.io/2021/Campaign/Details.

Our most sincere thanks for your generosity and support this school year. Best wishes for 2022!
