St. Mary's Visitation Catholic Parish School exists to direct children toward God and toward Christian Service to society through Catholic religious formation, academic challenge, and continuous improvement.
Principal Notes

Dear Families,

Yesterday was Ash Wednesday. Hopefully you will set aside time for spiritual development and revival in preparation for Easter. This is the time when we recommit to the disciplines of prayer, fasting and personal outreach to those in need. We make a conscious effort to refocus our lives on the gospel. The word Lent means spring, a time emerging with new hope. During this season we acknowledge our failings but are comforted in the truth that Jesus lives and that his resurrection freed us from sin. If you have not thought about what you can do during this Lent, I encourage you to start small, start here and start now. 

Just like last year, we are asking you to help the clients of Milwaukee’s House of Peace by filling a special brown bag with personal hygiene products for them. Clients of this agency are the homeless, unemployed and underemployed of the inner city of Milwaukee. Through this collection, we join in solidarity with them so as to be one in Christ with “the least of these.” Please be generous. 

Report cards (grades 1-8) are available for viewing in Powerschool next Tuesday. School is dismissed at 11:00 on Thursday, March 10. Conferences are from 1:00-6:30. There is still time to sign-up for a conference.

There is no school on Friday, March 11.

Each student memorizes two pieces and performs them. Points are accumulated annually and trophies are awarded every 3 to 4 years. The following students will be receiving their first gold cup at the Spring Recital in May.

SAVE THE DATE!
The Daddy-Daughter Dance is just around the corner and we are looking forward to a magical evening for all SMV fathers and daughters. 

The dance will be held in the SMV gym on Friday, April 1st from 6:30-8:30 pm.

AUCTION FEVER! 
It's March & the auction is just around the corner! Have you purchased your tickets? Mrs. Dries please INSERT TICKET LINK HERE. Lots of people are working hard to put this night together, striving for it to be extra special...a celebration of returning together and for a great cause too!!!

What are you Going to Wear? Your auction t-shirt, tie-dye, your best 60s attire, something you feel comfortable in! Historically, SMV auctions are casual in nature. Relaxed, fun is the goal!

RAFFLE EXCITEMENT  
Every year, several raffles are a part of the auction. These raise significant funds for the school and have the Added Bonus of giving you a chance to WIN BIG!! 
We will be having 3 raffles this year:
  1. The Golden Ticket: These were sent home a couple weeks ago & are coming in fast! Only 75 will be sold! Don't miss out on your chance to walk away with one of the Live Auction items of your choice for ONLY the $100 cost of your ticket!!! 

2.The Cash Raffle: These tickets will be sent home this week! This is your chance to win the 
BIG BUCKS! 1st place $2, 000, 2nd place $1, 000, 3rd place $500!! We ask that each family
purchase or sell 4 booklets of tickets. This is a fun one that family, friends and co-workers
often like to participate in! Tickets are $5 each or 6/$25!

3.The Cash Purse: This is the ladies' chance to snag a bag filled with Triple Digit Cash,
Fantastic Spa & Beauty Gift Cards & MORE surprises! It is Simply Stellar this year!! More
details on the cash purse soon!

Winners need not be present for any of the above raffles! Winners will be drawn and announced the night of the auction. As per our raffle guidelines, all tickets will be offline, purchased via cash or check. If you need extra tickets, just reach out to us at: auction@stmaryeg.org.

AUCTION VOLUNTEERS
Here is your chance to help! Volunteers are needed the Friday before the auction to help decorate and the night of the auction to man the bar, games, etc! Help us make it a night to remember!
