Making the Most of Your NIA Membership in 2023
|
|
As we approach the end of 2022, we are so proud of what we accomplished together this year and excited for all that we have planned for next year. We invite you to take a moment to catch up with your national industry network and begin planning how you and your company will make the most of your NIA membership in 2023.
As you may know, we are transitioning to a new NIA Member Portal. Each person who is listed with a member company profile in NIA's database has received an email with instructions on how to register your email address, set up a new password, and ensure you are receiving our communications. Click here for instructions.
Each company's 2023 dues renewal has been sent to the Primary Representative. It is important that you establish your account in the new NIA Member Portal before renewing your company’s dues, especially if you pay by credit card. Membership renewals are due by Dec. 31.
As with any transition, there will be questions and we are here to help! Please contact the NIA membership team at membership@insulation.org or call 703-464-6422, ext. 113 to reach Aimee Doyle or ext. 115 to reach Kristin V. DiDomenico.
NIA’s data is secure, and member information is never sold to third parties. A member recently reported receiving a fraudulent phishing email, and we can assure you that NIA has not partnered with any organization to share member or event attendee information. If you receive such an email, the best course of action is to block the sender and delete the email from your inbox. Any claims offering to sell NIA information are scams.

NIA Past President Wayne W. Killion, Jr. 1950–2022
|
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of NIA Past President Wayne W. Killion, Jr. on Dec. 12, 2022. He served as NIA President from 2007 to 2008. His distinguished career in the insulation industry began in 2001 when he joined his father’s business, Shook & Fletcher Insulation Company. Wayne became President and Chief Executive Officer of Shook & Fletcher and continued his father’s legacy. Wayne Killion, Jr. will be honored by NIA at our upcoming Annual Convention, March 15–17, 2023, in Maui, Hawaii.

Advocating for the Industry and Small Businesses
|
NIA joined a group of insulation associations in a letter to the U.S. EPA regarding the program design of the GHG Reduction Fund. Read the letter here. In addition, NIA joined the National Association of Wholesalers and more than 30 organizations in a letter to support H.R. 9092, the Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act, related to the $80 billion in IRS funding to hire 87,000 new agents. The bill would rescind enforcement and operations support funding, while leaving in place funding for taxpayer services and business systems modernization.
