Hearing Screenings:

Hearing screenings at OCCS will be the week of Feb 12-15. PS-3rd and 8th grade will be screened. If you have a student in 4th-7th grade that you want added to the hearing screening, please contact Nurse Anna ASAP at adegroot@occhristian.pvt.k12.ia.us.

It's Spirit Week at OCCS:

All students (K-8) can participate on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Middle school students only (5-8) will participate on Tuesday and Thursday.

Looking forward to a great week of dressing up and school spirit!

Hot Lunch update:

Hot lunch has been updated this week: Thursday, February 1 is Chili soup and Friday, Feb 2 is Italian Dunkers.

Parent Teacher Conferences:

An email was sent to all families on Monday, Jan. 29 to sign up for conferences. We do require that all students have a parent teacher conference. The scheduler will be closed on Feb. 2 at 9am so no changes can be made after that time. Please plan accordingly.

The Herzog Foundation Teacher of the Year Award:

The Herzog Foundation annually honors Christian educators with a Teacher of the Year award. The nomination period for this year’s award is now open and runs through Friday, February 16. If you are interested in nominating one of Orange City Christian’s wonderful teachers please do so here!

Mr. De Jong will be submitting nominations based on input from our students so if you have any comments to add about certain teachers, please email him at tdejong@occhristian.pvt.k12.ia.us. Save the Date:

We're planning on Grandparents Day at OCCS on Friday, April 19th. Our teachers and students love the opportunity to invite grandparents in to see the work they've been doing and to share in the partnership that is Christian Education at OCCS!

Job openings for 2024-25 school year:

OCCS is looking to hire a full-time and a part-time custodian for the 2024-2025 school year. We are looking to fill the position before this school year ends to help with the transition over the summer months. TRIP News

School year TRIP hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:00am - 3:30pm. and Wednesday and Friday from 8:00am - 12:00pm.
