Good Morning Athanasius ,
With my term as Grand Knight winding down, I’d like to thank all the brothers who’ve helped me over the past two years. Through the Council’s efforts, we’ve accomplished amazing things. We’ve supported St. Joseph’s Parish, Perpetual Adoration, the Hispanic community, mothers who’ve chosen life, and our fellow Knights in need. We’ve had good times (the Spanish food festival, the live wrestling event for Beacon of Light, and welcoming our new Parochial Vicar, Fr. Kevin Panameno). We also had our share of challenges (seeing off Fr. Connolly for his new mission in NYC, coming out of COVID, recruiting, and our brother Paul entering into his eternal rest a year ago this spring).
Our accomplishments the past two years would not have been possible without your support. Please accept my sincerest gratitude. John Paul the Great Council 486 has a bright future, and I look forward to supporting the next Grand Knight and new slate of officers!
As always, I’d also like to again thank all those who regularly attend council meetings. Your active participation and sacrifice of time is very much appreciated. Please consider making 2023 the year you return to council meetings if you’re not a regular participant. We can always use new and fresh ideas. Our next council meeting in the gym at St. Joseph’s Church will take place on Thursday, May 11 at 8 PM. We hope to see you there!
Blessed Fr. Michael J. McGivney, pray for us!
Vivat Jesus,
Kevin St. Pierre, GK
