One Year with the Nicholson Administration

January 3rd marked the one-year anniversary of my inauguration as the City of Lynn's 59th Mayor. In 2022, we took bold steps together and achieved significant accomplishments and milestones, as well as meeting several of our goals for the year. From the beginning, I have been committed to providing forward-thinking leadership and inclusive growth for all Lynners. In working towards these goals, we set a path for advancing equitable solutions and community sustainability for the City. This progress would not be possible without our amazing team in the Mayor’s Office and throughout the City, our close collaboration with the City Council, School Committee, state and federal delegation, and our partnership with community and business leaders.

It is an honor to serve as your Mayor and I am excited to enter 2023 with an ambitious agenda to continue to drive the City forward. All that we have accomplished would not have been possible without the support of our community. Thank you to all who helped make this year so special!

Major Highlights

Honoring Chief Archer

Fire Chief Archer has been a great role model and a tremendous asset to the Lynn Fire Department and the City of Lynn as a whole.

We are grateful for the years of service he has dedicated to the community, especially with the implementation of a Youth Fire Cadet Academy for our students.

As he enters retirement, we send our best wishes to him.

Sacred Heart School Reading

It was an honor to visit Sacred Heart Catholic School for a school-wide book reading on community leadership!

The students asked great questions and provided great comments, and I appreciate the posters signed by the students.

LFD Swearing-In Ceremony

Congratulations to Chief Sullivan on his official swearing-in and the newly promoted firefighters in our City!

We wish you continued safety and success in your careers ahead, and we appreciate your commitment to keeping Lynn and its residents safe.

Bridgewell Grand Opening

Congratulations to Bridgewell on the grand opening of the Lotus House. This program is transformative in its mission and substantial for all involved, providing essential support to women and their children in recovery and transitioning out of substance use disorder treatment programs.

Special thanks to the Bridgewell team for all their hard work and all they do for our community!

St. Mary's Championship

Congratulations to the St. Mary’s Football team on their incredible win in the 2022 MIAA Division VI Football State Championship!

It is great to see the City of Lynn represented by so many hardworking and dedicated individuals.
