California Brings Back Mask Mandate as
Virus Cases Rise
California is bringing back a rule requiring people to wear masks indoors, a move aimed at containing a new type of the coronavirus as people gather with family and friends during the holidays.

Gov. Gavin Newsom’s administration announced the new mandate will start Wednesday and last until Jan. 15. The order comes as the per capita rate of new coronavirus cases in California has jumped 47% in the past two weeks.

The Independent Redistricting Commission was created by resolution to independently administer the City Council redistricting process.

The Independent Redistricting Commission will be responsible for setting Menlo Park’s city council electoral boundaries following the 2020 census.

Give Back to Your Community! Donate Your Gently Used Children's Books
Give the gift of reading this holiday season! Menlo Park Library is accepting all new/gently used children’s and teens' books through Dec. 31, 2021. All books will be given to the nonprofit organization, Children's Book Project, to benefit children who need them for equity in literacy, learning, and life in San Mateo County and neighboring counties.

To donate new/gently used books please place your donations in the big blue box just inside the Menlo Park Library entrance at 800 Alma St.
