Charles Mark Hendrick

St, Mark's will hold a funeral for beloved parishioner Mark Hendrick, on Saturday, February 10 at 4:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

Mark's funeral will take place just prior to our Mardi Gras Event, which starts at 5:00 p.m. The party will serve as both a Mardi Gras Event and a Reception for Mark Hendrick.

The funeral will take place in the Nave. It will also be livestreamed:

4:00 p.m. Charles Mark Hendrick's Funeral (In-person in the Nave or virtually):

St. Mark's has a Memorial Fund for Mark Hendrick. These funds will be used to cover any funeral and reception costs, but more importantly, for durable worship goods or needed equipment for greeters or ushers. To make a donation, you may give in the offering plate, or bring it to our office with a memo "Memorial-Mark Hendrick."

You may also give online via PayPal here. Please select "Memorial Fund" and add "Mark Hendrick" in the memo/note field. Thank you for your assistance and willingness to help!

Bring your Palm Branches for Mardi Gras!

Please bring your Palm fronds from last Palm Sunday to St. Mark's and place them in the basket in the Narthex any time before Saturday, February 10th. It is customary during Shrove Tuesday/Mardi Gras celebrations to burn the blessed palm branches from the previous Palm Sunday to create the ashes for Ash Wednesday.

Beware of Scam Emails Pretending to be Clergy or Staff of St. Mark's

Numerous parishioners reported that they received an email that looked like it is from Fr. Christopher with the subject line, "Good day,_____, hope this message meets you well". The email then requests that you email him back. Please DO NOT respond. This is a phishing email scam.

Do not purchase anything -- especially gift cards. Please know that our clergy and staff will never for money/gift cards in an email or ask you to keep something "private" or "secret."

The good news is that our parish is educated about these cons and is reporting them (and not easily fooled). Way to go, St. Mark's!

About every 4-6 months, scammers seem to make the rounds within our Diocese. Please stay alert by checking sender email addresses, check for misspellings and/or poor grammar, and check with the church office (505-246-2484) before making a financial transaction or giving out personal information.

If you responded to this most recent email scam, please take the following steps to protect yourself:

·    Check your passwords

·    Scan your device/computer for viruses

·    Mark the phishing email as spam/junk and block sender
