As I'm sure you've probably heard, we are currently experiencing a very dramatic sellers market. The simple explanation is there is very little inventory, and yet a huge demand from buyers. The low inventory during our winter months is nothing new, but the overwhelming demand from buyers is somewhat unprecedented. In 2020, 13 of my 17 transactions were with buyers who were relocating from either Southern California or the Bay Area (including Santa Rosa). In a lot of the cases, my buyers were taking advantage of the new COVID landscape, which opened the door for them to work remotely. With this new found freedom, they took the opportunity to sell their home and walk away with enough cash to buy something in Humboldt outright.
