There are bills to review & take positions on | |
Jeanette Hensley and Rich Mauro will lead us in reviewing bills that have been added to our CCA Bill Tracker. We will also take positions on bills that were reviewed at last week's meeting and we will be looking for at least one member to step forward for each bill we are keeping on our list.
View our meeting agenda to see a list that prioritizes bills for discussion
at the Monday morning meeting - View Agenda
Our approach is to review the bills one week and then the following week our members vote on whether to monitor, support, strongly support, or oppose. If we keep a bill in our Bill watch account, we need a member to step up as a point of contact.

Property Tax Deferral Program Overview
Colorado's Property Tax Deferral Program has traditionally helped seniors and active military personnel continue to afford to live in their homes by deferring the payment of their property taxes. On January 1st 2023, the State of Colorado is expanding the deferral program to allow those who do not qualify for the senior or military personnel program to defer a portion of their real property taxes if they exceed the property tax-growth cap of 4%, averaged from the preceding two years. Under this program, the minimum amount a taxpayer may defer is $100 and the maximum cumulative taxes that a taxpayer may defer is $10,000 - LEARN MORE

"Gov. Jared Polis says he’ll make housing affordability one of his top priorities this upcoming legislative session. Gov. Jared Polis touts factory-built homes as part of affordable housing solution
"Gov. Jared Polis says expanding affordable housing will be a top priority of his over the next four years. In his Colorado State of the State address, the governor said everything ties back to housing -- water, climate goals, the economy and transportation. He said if the state doesn't act now, it will reach the point of no return. The Centennial State's resources -- including land -- are finite and the governor says we can't afford to make the mistakes California has. He laid out a wide-ranging plan to address the crisis and highlighted Fading West Development, a manufactured home builder in Buena Vista, as part of the solution ..." - READ MORE
