Village at Thirty Pines

Summer Newsletter

Hello Village at Thirty Pines Residents,

Memorial Day is nearly upon us and for many it is the beginning of the most enjoyable time of the year here in New Hampshire. The Concord area comes to life with weekly farmers markets, music festivals, Market Days, and other area events. For a great way to discover what’s happening in the community you may want to visit the website at InTownConcord.org or scroll down and see some of our favorite local events!

Memorial Day is also a day when the nation is reminded of the courage and sacrifice of the men and women whose service to their country has protected and benefitted us all. The management and staff of the Hodges Companies and the Village at Thirty Pines would like to recognize and express our appreciation for these efforts that have secured our freedom and provided lasting benefit to all the citizens of our country.

Thank You!

Meredith, Property Manager

– Peter Marshall

Barbecue Grills

We would like to remind you of the City of Concord Fire Regulations: No barbecue grills in or on patios or balconies, this includes electric grills of any kind. You must place your grill 10 feet away from the building, and only charcoal briquettes or lava type briquettes are to be burned. Please be courteous of your neighbors with regard to open windows and smoke from your grill. Never leave the grill unattended. We want everyone to be safe and enjoy the outdoor cooking season. Please make sure the grills are stored by the tree line of the property, so we can perform lawn maintenance.

Balcony Etiquette

Now that spring is here, more of you will be spending time on your balconies and patios. There are a few things to keep in mind: Please do not allow anything to hang or be suspended over the railings where it would be unsafe. When pruning and watering plants, keep in mind there are residents below you and over watering may result in a wet balcony or patio, and possibly wet furniture. Your balcony is not a play area for children, nor is it to be used for storage or hanging clothes. Please be mindful of your noise levels, especially in the evenings, so you do not disturb your neighbors. If you’re a smoker, please keep an ashtray or can filled with sand on your balcony and do not litter the ground with cigarette butts. A little consideration keeps our community clean and neighborly.

Pet Etiquette

In accordance with Concord City Ordinance all pet owners must have their dogs on a leash outside their apartment at all times AND be sure to pick up after them and dispose your bag IN THE DUMPSTER. This is your home as well as your neighbors, be a responsible & respectful pet owner. To the many pet owners who already do this we say THANK YOU!

Window Safety

Falls are the leading cause of injury to children, keep your family safe by following these simple steps:

  • Keep all furniture, especially beds, sofas and dressers (anything a child can climb) away from windows.
  • Lock all unopened doors and windows.
  • Open windows from the top down, especially when there are children in the home.
  • If you must open windows from the bottom, buy window-stops at your local hardware store that will limit the opening to less than 4 inches. Window-stops can be disabled by an adult or an older child in an emergency.

Reminders from your Property Manager

  1. Management would like to remind all residents that Personal Belongings are NOT to be left in the Lobby Area or on the bench seat located in the lobby! Please dispose of or donate your unwanted items by contacting a local charity or Salvation Army. Thank you.
  2. Now that carports and parking areas are being swept free of sand, it is asked that shoes no longer be left in common hallways. All shoes and personal belongings need to be kept inside your apartment. Thank you for your cooperation!

Driver & Pedestrian Safety Reminder

With the increase of outdoor activities, we want to remind you to be mindful and maintain the posted speed limits in our community. We want to keep a safe community throughout the summer season. Please remind your guests to do the same. Thank you for helping keep our community safe!

Renter's Insurance - A Little Peace of Mind

You’ve just moved into a new apartment, and you have a lot to do, setting up your Wi-Fi, electric, and cable service, letting people know your new address, deciding how to arrange your living room – the last thing you’re thinking about is renter’s insurance. Please be advised that while our insurance policy covers certain types of damage to our buildings, it doesn’t provide coverage for your personal belongings. That’s why most people who rent apartments carry “Renter’s Insurance.” Here are a few Concord area Insurance Companies:

Liberty Mutual | Allstate | Progressive

Security Tips

We would like to remind our residents that their cooperation with our security programs helps to keep the Village at Thirty Pines safe for everyone:

  • Always keep the building’s security doors closed.  Do not prop these doors open.

  • Report any building doors that don’t close or latch properly. We give these a high priority for repair. A call or an email to the rental office will get a repair scheduled.

  • Please don’t allow any person(s) you do not know to enter the building.

  • We highly recommend that each resident secure their storage area with a padlock.

  • Never store combustibles or valuable items in your storage area.

  • Keep your vehicle windows closed and doors locked when parked.

If you should see any questionable activity, please contact the Concord Police by calling the non-emergency number, 603-225-8600.

Thank you for helping to keep our community safe.
