2021 Coach of the Year Nominations
DUE SOON: February 18
2021 continued to be a challenging year for our coaches as many teams experienced drops in membership, facility closures, and our typical schedule of in-person competitions was interrupted. Despite these challenges, Pacific Masters coaches still managed to find ways to encourage their swimmers, doing more than what was expected of them.
Do you have a coach that went above and beyond in 2021? Please consider recognizing their efforts by nominating your coach for the Pacific Masters Coach of the Year Award. Submissions should include a nomination letter along with a maximum of four support letters.
A description of the award along with the nomination and selection process can be found here. More details can be found here. Nominations for Pacific Masters Coach of the Year should be sent to the Chair of Pacific Masters and are due by February 18, 2022.

Taking the Plunge!
South End Rowing Club swimmers featured on CBS
Even though it's winter, some swimmers continue to brave the cold and dark waters of the Pacific. A group from the South End Rowing Club in San Francisco was featured recently on CBS Sunday Morning.
Did you know that when the South End Rowing Club was established in 1873, it was open only to men, but now boasts 1700 members of all genders and abilities? If you're interested in learning more about this rowing/swim club and about open water swimming, watch the video that aired on CBS in January here. Maybe it will inspire you to ditch the pool and do some wild swimming!
