ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE

Lent includes the weeks leading up to Easter, and is a time when many Christians observe a period of fasting, repentance, moderation and spiritual discipline. CONFIRMATION ORIENTATION
Sunday, February 4, 10am
Confirmation is understanding membership in the Methodist church and the Wesleyan Theological perspective. It is open to anyone 6th grade and up, including adults. If you are interested in participating in Confirmation this year, please join Pastor Joel at 10:00am on February 4th for an overview of the Confirmation process and what to expect. All parents of Confirmation students should plan to attend this meeting with their child.

ADULT MISSION TRIP
February 4-8, 2024
The Mission Center in Conroe, a mission of the Texas Conference, responds to disasters with pre-assembled kits to serve emergency needs. They include flood buckets, hygiene kits, and adult and child backpacks. Aledo UMC is sending our sixth team to the Mission Center February 4-8!
If you would like to support the mission, please consider donating the following supplies for the disaster relief kits:
- Bath towels, new and unwashed
- Adult toothbrushes, in original packaging
- Children's toothbrushes, in original packaging
- Crayons, new, 24-count packages
- Spiral notebooks, single subject, wide or college ruled
- Hand wipes, 20-60 count per pack
Items may be left in the marked bin in the Narthex. Thank you!!

MEN'S DEVOTIONAL BREAKFAST
Mondays, 7:30am, MAC Center
Men, start your week with a brief devotional, led by David Stubbs. Burritos and coffee will be served. This is an opportunity to meet new people and decompress. The goal is for those not retired, to get back on the road by 8:15, at the latest. A donation of $5 is asked to cover the cost.
