Welcomed United’s Dulles-Ithaca Flight
On June 3rd the airport hosted a small gathering to welcome the first United arrival from Washington, D.C. since the start of the pandemic. Remarks were made by Mike Hall, Director of ITH, Larry Baum, Chairman of the Air Service Board, Leslyn McBean-Clairborne, Chair of Tompkins County Legislature, and David Lorduy, Sales Manager for United.

Brenna's Fitzgerald's workshops are always very popular! In this workshop, part of CAP's Spring Writes Literary Festival, Brenna asks: "How do you want to show up for yourself and your creative writing?" She will guide participants through written reflection and mindfulness exercises to discover and create intentions to support their writing practice.

OJT Grants Available
The Chamber has On-the-Job Training Grant opportunities through a United States Department of Labor funding award to the Healthy Workforce Consortium. This funding is intended to support people in recovery receiving educational and training supports, new or expanded job opportunities, and maintaining a recovery friendly employer base in Tompkins County. Funds can support new hires and promotion of existing employees.

NYS Launches Round XI CFA Application
Round XI Will Award More Than $750 Million Across All 10 REDC Regions to Build Back Better in a Post-COVID Economic Recovery
Last week Governor Andrew M. Cuomo launched Round XI of the Regional Economic Development Council initiative, officially kicking off a new decade of economic development in a post-pandemic recovery. The 2021 funding round includes more than $750 million in state economic development resources. The Consolidated Funding Application will open on May 10, enabling businesses, municipalities, not-for-profits and the public to begin applying for assistance from dozens of state programs for job-creation and community development projects.
