Bringing Holiday Cheer

The management team of Spring Grove Apartments in Taylors, South Carolina, partnered with members of the Groveland Baptist Church to do a toy giveaway for residents during the Christmas season. Pastor Paul Fleming coordinated this event with Tammy Taylor-Jones, Spring Grove's Community Engagement Associate.

They set up tables to connect with residents, and the children got to pick out a few fun toys. Santa even dropped by to visit!

These community partners hosted a successful event back in 2021, and they are working on a plan to involve other ministries in the coordination of programs for both the residents and surrounding community.

Spring Grove Community Manager Penny Stone said, "The residents were very appreciative of the church and our office for coordinating this event for the kids. Some residents are not able to buy much so this gives the kids a few more toys for Christmas."

Penny has worked at Spring Grove since 2016. Her role certainly keeps her busy, but even after seven years, her heart for this community shines through. She said, "We enjoy making a change each day, assisting whoever we can to move forward. I as the community manager am truly blessed with my staff. I have the best team at Atlantic Housing!"

AHF Good Grades Program

Atlantic Housing offers rent discounts and/or incentives to families with students (K—12) who achieve perfect attendance and are on the A or A/B honor roll.

The application window opens February 1 and closes March 15.
