Pleasant Hill Lion's Club Fishing Derby

This year's Fishing Derby will be held Saturday, June 3rd from 8-10:30 at Copper Creek Lake for children ages 3-13.

Please see the note from Steve Messer about being a sponsor for this event.

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing on behalf of the Pleasant Hill Lions Club. We are hosting our Annual Fishing Derby on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 8:00 AM – 10:30 AM. This event is to show kids the enjoyment of fishing. The first 150 kids will be receiving a cinch bag with hooks, bobbers, weights and a t-shirt.

Breakfast (donut, water, popcorn and sno-cones) will be provided at this event. Each year, we give the first 150 participants a t-shirt which promotes the event. These shirts have all the sponsors listed on the back. In order to get your name on the shirt, we simply need a $50.00 donation for advertisement along with your business name.

You can also participate/sponsor our fishing derby by purchasing a table with a canopy for $200.00. This is a great opportunity to promote your business and get involved in the event. You can also bring an activity (craft, entertainment or a game) to do with the kids. If you would like us to provide an activity or game, please let us know. If you purchase the $200.00 table, then your name would be advertised at the top of the shirts in a larger print. You are welcome to supply us with a banner to be displayed at your table area or along the fence line. If you are unable to attend the event and wish to purchase the table, we will have enough volunteers to work your area for you, just let us know. There are 150 prizes this year that will be given away by a raffle. This event is not a fundraiser and all proceeds received goes back to the fishing derby. We are also in need of prizes (tickets, coupons or merchandise) for our annual free fishing derby.

The Lions Club is a non-profit organization that helps with the hearing impaired and the blind. This is one of our community events to promote our club's values and to bring happiness to children and their families. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated. Our Tax ID number is: 56-2363451. Please send any donations by May 10, 2023, to the below address. Any questions, please feel free to call Sharon or Steve Messer at 515-490-3805. If at all possible, would you please post this flyer to help advertise this great event.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Steve Messer
