"BLOOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED" - A ONE-DAY WOMEN'S RETREAT

What does it look like to be a "disciple"? Can God really use me? Mark your calendars for this one-day retreat and learn how God is calling you to bloom where you are planted. Reverend Mary Gean Cope will facilitate this day of fellowship & fun. Registration forms are available at the Connection Center in the lobby. MEN'S RETREAT
February 3-4, 2023
The Men’s Retreat is scheduled for February 3-4, at Graham Lodge at Glen Lake Camp. We will have a meal and fellowship Friday evening, followed by a work project on Saturday. This retreat is an “arrive when you can” event.

SECURITY TEAM ORIENTATION

Thank you to all who have volunteered to serve on our church security team! Please mark your calendars for Sunday, February 5th at 10:00am. We will be joined by a representative from the Parker County Sheriff's Office, who will provide a brief and informative orientation for all security team members. If you are interested in serving on the security team but haven't signed up yet, it's not too late! A sign-up sheet is located at the Connection Center.

ADULT MISSION TRIP TO CONROE MISSION CENTER
February 5-9, 2023
LAST WEEK TO SIGN UP!
Each year there are about 100 natural disasters in the US. These include wildfires, floods, droughts, heat waves, cold waves, tornadoes and hurricanes. In 2021 the cost of natural disasters was $152 billion, and countless people were left homeless and without possessions as a result.
The Mission Center in Conroe responds to such disasters with pre-assembled kits that serve immediate needs. They include flood buckets, hygiene kits, and adult and child backpacks. In 2022 Mission Center volunteers prepared 337 Adult Care Bags, 38% of which were prepared by AUMC members, and 205 Child Care Bags, 76% of which were
prepared by AUMC members. We are doing God’s work in Conroe!

Our groups are open to adults in our community who are experiencing life's challenges. We all have difficult times in our lives when we need loving, compassionate support.
- Alzheimer's Support Group & Kaleidoscope - meets the second Thursday of each month at 1:00pm.
- Cancer Support Group - meets the second Tuesday of each month

Pastor Joel will be sharing a short devotional with this group. Burritos and coffee will be served. This is an opportunity to meet new people and decompress. The goal is for those not retired, to get back on the road by 8:15, at the latest. A donation of $5 is asked to cover the cost.

Interested in a weekly women’s group and a good cup of coffee? Lessons center around how we juggle being moms and followers of Christ in a busy world. New study to begin Thursday, January 12: video series entitled "What the Women Saw". In this six-session study, we will see Jesus through the unique perspective of women in the Bible. New Year, new resolutions! We are looking to build a third team of ushers for the 11:00 service. This involves being friendly, arriving 15 minutes before the service, handing out bulletins, recognizing new faces, collecting the offering and picking up pew pads after the service. BOB BULL’S COAT DRIVE
Through February 1st we will be collecting gently-used coats to be distributed by Beautiful Feet in Fort Worth. All sizes are needed, children through adult! Please make sure coats are clean and in “working order.”
