Mark Your Calendars for Rock Shabbat |
Friday, June 17th // 6:00pm // In Person & Streamed
Get your dancing shoes on because it's another Rock Shabbat service! Everyone is welcome to join us as we pray together, and hear the music from Temple Emanu-El's own Rock Shabbat band, lead by Rabbi Magat, Cantor Shafritz.
We will also be hosting an Appetizer Reception before the start of service at 6pm for those who would like to attend.

Summer Kabbalat Shabbat Services |
We invite you to join us for our Kabbalat Shabbat Summer Series. Normally, we would have our Summer Shabbat on our courtyard patio, from June until August.
We are excited about starting construction on the 20/20 Vision Project soon, which includes the renovation of our patio.
We appreciate your flexibility in understanding that the location of our Summer Shabbat Series may change to other areas of our campus. Everyone is still welcome to join us on Friday evenings at 6:30pm. Stay tuned for more information.

Religious School Registration Now Open! |
We are excited to announce that Registration is now available for our 2022-2023 Religious School year. Our religious school starts as young as Kindergarten and runs all the way through 12th Grade.

Have you heard about Temple
Emanu-el's Havurah program? "Havurah" (plural "Havurot") comes from the Hebrew word for "friend." Here at Temple Emanu-El, a Havurah is a group which offers friendship and an extended family within our community.
We're embarking on re-imagining how Temple Emanu-El helps coordinate Havurot among our members.Please answer some short questions (in the link) to let us know that you're interested!

Non-Fiction Jewish Book Club |
Sunday, June 12th // 7:00pm // Zoom
Join Nat Cohen and the other members of the Jewish Nonfiction Book Club for a stimulating discussion on books that relate to Jewish life. Our next meeting will be on June 12 at 7:00 PM. We will discuss Operation Thunderbolt, by Saul David, a riveting account of the raid on the Entebbe airport. You won't want to miss this one, so register on the temple website.

Good news. Our Grandparents Group will meet in the outdoor patio of Temple Emanu-El on June 14, 2022 from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. This is our first in-person meeting, and my hope is that it will not be our last. We are meeting one hour later than we normally meet. Please bring a sack lunch. Water and dessert will be provided. Because it will be a warm day, you may want to bring a hat, sun glasses and sunscreen.

Come picnic at the beach with Rabbi Magat, Cantor Shafritz, and all the rest of your Temple Emanu-El friends! This June 18 we will be having a very special Shabbat in Nature at Seacliff State Beach in Aptos, just south of Santa Cruz. Enjoy a relaxing day of sand and surf as we sing Shabbat songs and worship together as a community outdoors. Don't forget your sunscreen!

Help Respond to the Current Refugee Crisis: Did you know that in Santa Clara County, Jewish Family Services of Silicon Valley is one of only two nonprofits providing refugee resettlement and connected services for families and individuals?
Currently, JFS SV is assisting refugees from Afghanistan and other locations.
