Don't miss Kaleideum's First Laser Extravaganza featuring Lizzo and Beyoncé ... The second Saturday in June is National Rosé Day, and it is also the kick-off for Kaleideum’s Summer Laser Extravaganza series! Kaleideum has combined the two events into Rosé and Play at Kaleideum North on Saturday, June 11, from 6:30-9:30 pm.   Adults 21 and up buy tickets to the exciting event and graze on charcuterie in a jar (jar-cuterie) from The Board Babe, grab a glass of rosé (or another wine) from Medaloni Cellars’ cash bar, and unleash their inner child to play! Keep the merriment going by making a friendship bracelet in our pop-up Try It! Studio, then sing your heart out in the planetarium with your favorite Lizzo and Beyonce songs and lasers!   Lizzo laser show at 7 pm, and the Beyonce laser show is at 8:30 pm. June Laser Specials Featured Artists Check out the Featured Artists for June Laser Specials. $2 for members; $3 for non-members. Laser Specials happen on Saturdays at Noon and 4 pm, and Sundays at 4 pm. Let's Grow! Terrarium Workshop Get your hands dirty designing your own moss terrarium with miniatures and a succulent. You’ll have everything you need in this all-inclusive workshop — from the plants to the jars to the decor that makes your terrarium shine. SIGN YOUR PRESCHOOLER UP FOR LITTLE INNOVATORS! Little learners get a head full of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) with interdisciplinary and hands-on learning. Designed for curious preschoolers, these playful activities focus on themed materials and then expand outward with storytelling, project-based learning, science, discovery, artifact viewing and classroom exploration. Little Innovators occurs every second Saturday. $5 per member; $8 per non-member. (Ticket includes one adult with one pre-K innovator; adult must attend with child.) Museum admission is not included. Summer Hours at Kaleideum Have Begun Both Kaleideum North and Kaleideum Downtown will be open seven days a week this summer! Summer hours start Monday, June 6, at both locations. Summer hours are: Monday-Friday: 10 am-5 pm Saturday: 10 am-5 pm Sunday: 1-5 pm At Kaleideum Downtown, summer hours end on Friday, August 19. Kaleideum Downtown will then be closed from Saturday, August 20, through Friday, September 2. Kaleideum Downtown will reopen for weekends on Saturday, September 3. At Kaleideum North, summer hours end on Labor Day, Monday, September 5.

Storytime Tuesdays at Kaleideum North 11:00 am Our littlest learners are invited to gather in the Theatre for a special book of the day. Curiosity Cart Wednesdays and Fridays at Kaleideum North and Kaleideum Downtown 10:30 am Learn a new craft, see something cool from our collection, hear a story, and more. You never know what exciting adventure will accompany the Curiosity Cart. Animal Encounter Wednesdays and Fridays at Kaleideum North 11:30 am Meet one of Kaleideum North's resident animals up close. Learn more about its behavior, adaptations, care, and handling from our animal care staff.

Prism Experience Thursdays at Kaleideum North 10:30 am Explore a hands-on innovation activity that focuses on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) in creative ways. Prism is an engineering and innovation initiative sponsored by the L. David Mounts Foundation. Science Live! Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at Kaleideum North 1-3 pm Explore science concepts with our Science Live programs! Our staff and volunteers will engage in demonstrations and hands-on programming that will make even the most complex topics accessible. Visitors will learn about meteorology, physics, astronomy, and more!
