Youth Development Programs

2024 ESports
2024 STEAM Team

Looking back on 2023, LEAD reflects on everyone that we have inspired along the way. LEAD’s Youth Development has hosted three programs this year in collaboration with the FSU PC Ascent program and The Ginger Littleton Fund to give underserved students a chance to experience opportunities that would otherwise be inaccessible.

LEAD's first Spring Break ESports camp proved to be a success, creating a Minecraft challenge space for students to excel. Building on this achievement, LEAD launched a Summer Camp to introduce students to Google Slides and provided them with the option to obtain a Google Certification. Thirteen students earned Google slides certification.

Our STEAM Team summer initiative aims to provide underserved students with exposure to various life choices and career paths. From spending a day as a veterinarian to building confidence through boxing, students can explore their interests and gain valuable skills such as analyzing situations before reacting. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to take STEAM courses on a college campus, giving them a taste of college life. One of the most important benefits of this program is the chance for students to collaborate with others who share their goals and make lasting friendships. While we may come from different backgrounds, we all have the same desire to achieve greatness.
