HMAA Presents Keiki in the Kitchen
HMAA is thrilled to present Keiki in the Kitchen, part of The Hawaii Food & Wine Festival, online on Sunday, October 31 from 1:00 to 2:00pm!
 
For this fun and interactive virtual event, we invite keiki to dress up in their best Halloween costume and decorate cupcakes with baking superstar Rosanna Pansino! Reserve your cupcake kit for $50 by October 21 or register without a kit for $20; online pre-registration is required.
COVID Updates
Unless the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services declares otherwise, HMAA members will not be responsible for copayments, coinsurance, or deductibles related to medically necessary COVID-19 testing or treatment until October 18, 2021.
 
HMAA also covers, without cost-sharing, additional vaccine doses or booster shots for certain individuals as recommended by the CDC and authorized by the Hawai‘i Department of Health. Refer to the DOH’s frequently asked questions.
Free Incentives for Expectant Moms 
Baby & Me is HMAA’s free and innovative maternity program designed to help expectant moms and their babies stay healthy during and after pregnancy. We provide education and guidance, along with these fantastic incentives: 
  • Prenatal class reimbursement of up to $150
  • Breast pump and accessories courtesy of Pharmacare Hawaii, conveniently delivered to your home at no charge or available for pickup at selected pharmacies
  • Healthy Baby Kit with information about pregnancy stages and baby care
  • Physician-grade fetal Doppler to hear baby’s heartbeat (free 6-month rental)
  • $250 Target GiftCard™ for diaper products 

Members covered by an HMAA medical plan and in weeks 1 to 20 of pregnancy may enroll. This program is encouraged and voluntary; restrictions apply.
Join the Fight to End Alzheimer’s on November 6 
Join HMAA in supporting the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Saturday, November 6. Due to caution, this year’s event is virtual.
 
Using the app or local event page, watch the opening ceremony, then walk around your neighborhood in purple and post photos to social media to share your support.
