Dear Residents –
I hope that you all enjoyed your long Thanksgiving weekend. If, like me, you may have overindulged just a little bit, you may want to head over to Veterans Memorial Park where new outdoor fitness equipment is waiting for you. The equipment is situated around the pond, so you will also get in some cardio as you move to each piece of equipment.
You may have noticed that I have a bit of a thing about recycling. So, if you hate the idea of sending trash to the landfill as much as I do, worry no more. The Town has set up a Zero Waste Box in the lobby for recycling old office supplies (pens included), plastic cutlery, coffee capsules, and personal products (makeup, skincare and dental containers). Everything collected through the Zero Waste Box gets sorted and processed into raw materials that can be reused instead of sent to landfills.
Many organizations throughout Orangetown have set up Toys for Tots collection sites. If you are fortunate enough to be able to purchase a new toy for a child, please consider doing so. Whether it be the Orangetown PBA, R2M Realty, Vision Fitness, American Legion Post 329, United Way or Senator Elijah Reichlin-Melnick, they are all looking to brighten the day of a child this holiday season.
And like that, the holiday season is upon us. From the students at St. Thomas Aquinas College hosting their 2nd Annual Winter Wonderland Festival to tree lighting & caroling in Tappan, it all sounds so festive! So, if you are holding off on that shopping just a little bit longer, stop by and join in the fun.
Enjoy your weekend everyone!
Regards,
