Cocktails made easy!

This week: The sun is out in Minneapolis and every day feels like a celebration. Our social calendars are so delightfully brimming with obligation — we barely have the time to grab sunscreen, let alone plan how we're going to wow our friends with craft cocktails. Luckily, there are oodles of delicious pre-made options at our shop that are guarenteed to get the party started! Today we explore some of our favorites.
Cocktail Courier Party Cans

Coctail Courier Party Cans are our favorite 'easy button' for large gatherings. These 1.75 liter cans make 12 drinks — just pour over ice. For just $33.99, that makes the cost just $2.83/drink!
The Triple Spice Margarita is made from 100% blue weber agave tequila, fresh lime juice, premium orange liqueur, and subtle spices from real ginger, cinnamon and chili pepper. The Party Can Gold Rush Old Fashioned features real Kentucky bourbon, fresh lemon juice, natural herbs, bitters, and black and chamomile tea. Perfect for summer, the Passion Fruit Cosmicpolitan is made of vodka, Combier Liqueur d’Orange, passion fruit and lime juices.
Crooked Water

We love the pre-made cocktails being produced by this Minnesotan [female owned] distillery. If you're looking for ready-to-pour classic cocktails, these high-octane delights are perfect. The Manley's Old Fashioned is made using Crooked Water's signature bourbon, rich demerara and premium bitters. The Negroni features their award winning Sundog Gin, Sweet Vermouth and Bitter Orange Liqueur. The Boulevardier is crafted using their house made El Dorado (a bitter orange liqueur), straight Bourbon and proprietary Sweet Vermouth.
Meteor & Dashfire Collaboration

Sometimes you need a brilliant bar tender to whip you up something surprising and creative — that's why we all love going to Meteor Bar! Now, you can provide that same experience for your friends simply by pouring one of their ready-to-drink cocktails over ice. The Bifrost is a tantalizing combination of Gin, Raspberry & Lemon Bitters, Lemon Juice, Aronia Juice, Cascara Cane Sugar, and a touch of Salt. The Cooler Club is a summertime stand out, made of Vodka, Raspberry/Lemon/Cardamom Bitters, Raspberry Juice, Yuzu Juice, Vanilla, and Cane Sugar. Take your taste buds on an adventure!
Tattersall

Tattersall's ready-to-drink cocktails make a perfect contribution to any party (or gift for the host — they fit perfectly in our gift bags)! The Bootlegger and Salty Dog are best enjoyed over ice with a splash of soda water. The Manhattan & Old Fashioned are excellent simply poured over ice.
We also have Tattersall ready-made cocktails available in 100ml bottles.

-Batched Cocktails Of The Week-

When having a get together, you don't want to be stuck behind the bar the whole time making drinks. So some simple batches free up your time and cut down on the mess. I am going to show you how to batch up a delicious Old Fashioned, a Negroni, a Daiquiri and a Margarita.

The Old Fashioned and Negroni are the easiest and last the longest since they don't have citrus in them. Citrus is the one thing that will lose quality in your batched cocktail. So I suggest adding the citrus last right before your event.

I am also using milliliters since the bottles all come in 750's or liters, it makes it easier.
Pre-Batched Negroni

Negroni Batch (about 24 cocktails)
750ml Sipsmith Lemon Drizzle Gin
750ml Campari
750ml Cocchi di Torino
24 dashes of Orange bitters of your choice
1000ml of Orange bitters
Add all ingredients into a pitcher and mix well. Now you can funnel the batch into bottles and store in the fridge. About 4 hours before serving you want to put batches in the freezer. Keep the batch in a bucket of ice while pouring to keep it cold. To serve, pour it over ice, garnish with an orange peel and enjoy.
Pre-Batched Old Fashioned

Old Fashioned Batch (about 24 cocktails)
1500 ml 100 proof Bourbon
375 ml Simple syrup
24 dashes of Angostura Bitters
24 dashes of Bittercube Cherry Bark Vanilla Bitters
1000 ml Water
Add all ingredients into a pitcher and mix well. Now you can funnel the batch into bottles and store in the fridge. About 4 hours before serving you want to put batches in the freezer. Keep the batch in a bucket of ice while pouring to keep it cold. Then since the water content is already added all you have to do is pour it over ice, garnish with an orange peel and enjoy.
Pre-Batched Pineapple Daiquiri

Pineapple Daiquiri Batch (about 24 cocktails)
1500 ml Plantation Pineapple Rum
575 ml Simple Syrup
575 ml Fresh Lime Juice
12 dashes of any bitters you fancy
1000 ml Water
Add everything except the citrus and keep in the fridge. When about an hour til serving, juice the limes and add to the batch this will make sure your cocktails are fresh and delicious. Bottle up the batch and put in an ice bucket. When serving just pour over ice and garnish with a lime.
Pre-Batched Margarita

Margarita Batch (about 32 cocktails)
1500 ml Blanco Tequila
500 ml Pierre Ferrand Orange Curacao
500 ml Simple syrup
750 ml Fresh Lime juice
15 dashes of orange bitters
1000ml Water
Add everything except the citrus and keep in the fridge. When about an hour til serving, juice the limes and add to the batch this will make sure your cocktails are fresh and delicious. Bottle up the batch and put in an ice bucket. When serving just pour over ice into a salt-rimmed glass and garnish with a lime.
Staff Picks: What to Drink This Week
Things our staff thinks you should consider trying!

2020 Los Bermejos Listan Negro Maceracion Carbonica - $39.99
This wine comes from the Spanish Canary Island of Lanzarote and is made from the indigenous grape Listan Negro. The vines have to be planted in a hole due to the island being covered in petrified lava which must be broken through to get to the organic matter that can nourish the vine. A wall is built around the hole to protect it from high winds. This wine undergoes carbonic maceration during fermentation, leaving it juicy and fresh on the palate. The nose shows notes of wild berry and cured meats. The palate is peperry with notes of licorice and black cherry fruit. It is strikingly reminiscent of a Cabernet Franc from the Loire (France). Try this delicious red with a chill and served with smoked chicken.

2020 G.B. Burlotto Langhe Freisa - $29.99
The Burlotto family has been making wines in the Piedmonte region of Italy for over 170 years and have maintained traditional, minimal intervention, winemaking practices. This Freisa is a darker fruited, rustic alternative to the region's prized Nebbiolo based wines. Genetically closely related, both tote a light body, dusty tannins, high acidity, and florality. Try this wine the next time you're cooking with mushrooms for a truly transcendent pairing: mushroom risotto or casually with a mushroom & swiss burger grill-side!

2019 Gulfi 'Valcanzjria' white wine, Terre Siciliane IGP - $23.99
From the central highlands of Sicily, this white wine is a blend of Chardonnay and Carricante, organically grown on volcanic solis. The result is a brightly fruited but savoury wine with a honeyed floral nose and a palate of ripe pear, golden apple, and hazelnut. The chardonnay in the blend adds rich round fruit and is supported by the rocky minearlity and taut acid structure inherent in the native Carricante grape. This is a great wine to ease out of spring towards summer and makes an ideal choice to drink with sea bass or truffled risotto!

Avinyó Blanc Petillant Sparkling White Wine, 250ml Can, Catalonia - $8.99
Yes you can Can! Don’t underestimate the taste, quality and convenience of Avinyó Petillant, a zippy little 250ml canned, sparkling blanc quaffer from Catalon Spain’s Pinedès region. Originating from the artisinal Esteve house which traces its history to 1597, Catalan locals call it vi d’agulla, or ‘prickly wine.’ The Petillant’s gentle bubbles float refreshingly through delicate layers of slightly peachy pear and honeysuckle ending with a little herb. Advice is to “Drink with everything,” and with the portable can we can add, “Drink (almost) anywhere.” If you like this canned wonderland, graduate to full bottles of other Avinyó offerings.

2021 De Wetshof Estate 'Limestone Hill' Chardonnay - $19.99
De Wetshof is a third generation, family owned wine estate in South Africa that specializes in Chardonnay. The estate is made up of several unique plots that are mostly very calcium rich. The source vineyard 'Limestone Hill' has particularly high PH and produces wine with finesse and minerality in the finish. What makes this wine so special is the extreme care taken in the vineyard and in the wine making. The grapes are carefully harvested, destemmed and fermented in stainless steel to preserve the fresh fruit notes of lemon, pear and honey suckle. Ageing with the lees provides a creamy texture without sacrificing any of the inherent freshness. The primary fruit is noticeably lively and overall the wine is unusually elegant. Excellent effort.
