The annual Apple Awards showcase the achievements and dedication of Douglas County School District educators and staff. All Apple Awards sponsorships offer our community the opportunity to support the great work of our teachers and the 68,000+ students that walk our halls each day.

As an Apple Awards sponsor, you’ll reach all of the all of the district’s decision-makers gathered in one place. Your support underwrites the participation of the teachers and staff being honored for this exclusive DCSD event, and facilitates appreciation and recognition of their hard work.
Proudly Saluting Our Elite Female Athletes
Every year the Foundation and the Douglas County School District Activities & Athletics honor female athletic achievement and recognize the importance of sports participation for all girls and women at the annual Girls & Women in Sports Luncheon. Middle School and High School girls are selected by their schools for their achievement and character.

In addition, we recognize high school alumni and coaches who have established strong traditions in our county. Join us in honoring these incredible athletes by participating in sponsorship of the event.

National Girls and Women in Sports Day was chartered by the U.S. Congress in 1986 to honor female athletic achievement and recognize the importance of sports participation for all girls and women.

Douglas County Community Foundation: Inspiring Generosity and Providing Support
The Foundation for Douglas County Schools (FDCS) was one of three Douglas County non-profit organizations who recently received a generous grant from the Douglas County Community Foundation (DCCF).
The Foundation will use this $25,000 grant to help support Douglas County Schools' Sources of Strength program which harnesses the power of peer social networks to change unhealthy norms and culture to prevent suicide, bullying and substance abuse.
Receiving the check (from L - R) is Ashley Sommers, FDCS Executive Director, Kimberly Moore, DCSD Health, Prevention & Social Emotional Learning Lead and Tricia Strahler, FDCS Events Manager. Read the entire article in the January Castle Pines Connection HERE.
