CHAMBER UPDATES | NOVEMBER 30, 2022
Chamber Members-

How many Christmas carols can you keep in your head at once? Let's see how you do...

•Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way...
•We wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas...
•Joy to the World, the Lord is Come!
•I'm dreaming of a White Christmas...
•Rudolf the Red nose reindeer, had a very shiny nose...

I don't know about you, but I want to finish one before moving on to the next. The words get jumbled up, the lyrics and the melodies are so different that you can't keep all of them going at once, can you?

It seems that way with our lives sometimes too, right? We have our families and all that goes with that. Work keeps us going at a record pace, even if we want to have that family time as well. Our personal needs sometime grab our attention; don't you just want some alone time? Then there is the world around us, advertising everywhere, clawing for our attention to buy things we may not need or can't afford, or trying to entice us to go to exotic places or on a cruise. We then have the news media grabbing our attention, not just with the mid-term elections, but runoffs in states where we don't even live...political ads are still running nearly a month after the election.

This holiday season, my hope is that you can find a way to block out the noise in your life and focus on that which is most important to you, your family, and your business. This is challenging given all the options that exist, but with a little planning and fortitude, you can do it. One important part of Patti and my kitchen is the wall calendar marked with events and commitments, regardless of how small they may seem. We are forgetful people and need that constant reminder of where we need to be and when we need to be there. Thankfully the calendar isn't full (like Cousin Eddy's...well...let's say RV septic tank). 🙂

Our chamber calendar for December has a few events, but fewer in December in the hope that you can enjoy your family time and carve out Thursday December 15th to celebrate the holiday with the Colerain Chamber of Commerce and attend the merriest holiday party in Colerain! Kathie Smith's committee has a holiday movie theme event planned (details below) and of course we will have a brief business meeting at 6pm.

Best wishes to you and yours!

Dave
