G.O. Bond Neighborhood Reforestation Update

Project Overview and Benefits

The City of Miami Beach is reforesting select neighborhoods through the G.O. Bond program. This voter-led initiative includes a citywide reforestation project that will plant trees within rights-of-way (ROW), parks and greenspaces. 


What's Happening

The city will begin planting trees in the Pine Tree and La Gorce Drive neighborhoods. Staff already marked the location of new trees with a stake.

Schedule

The contractor will begin planting this week. This project will take approximately a few weeks to complete. Please be aware that this schedule may change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.


What to Expect

  • Construction equipment, machinery and workers will be present on the job site.
  • Trees may be delivered near the planting area prior to installation. 
  • Use extra caution and adhere to signage and flagman signals when moving around the work zone.
