#WKUGrad: Experiences pave way for teaching career
“Within my first month of student teaching, I already had students coming to confide in me. It was such a full circle moment that I was already seeing results relating to why I started teaching, and it had only been a month,” said Kaylee Edelen, a Mahurin Honors College scholar and graduating senior in Elementary Education from Bardstown. Edelen started student teaching in August at Rich Pond Elementary School and is already planning to continue teaching 5th-grade social studies after graduating. She knows teaching is the life for her.

“My husband and I own The Reindeer Farm, right here in Bowling Green! We are the first and only reindeer farm open to the public in the state that allows you to get up close and interact with the reindeer. We are one of the few reindeer farms in the south. Our agritourism farm is open throughout the year for special events, but our main season is during the holidays!” -- Jessica Crump Anderson, 2010 WKU graduate
