Is it your time to get involved in the governance at Sterling Ranch? Currently, CAB has the following committee and Metropolitan District board seats available:
- Community Standards Committee – 3 Openings, appointed by CAB Board of Directors
- Design Advisory Committee – 3 to 7 Openings, appointed by CAB Board of Directors
- Resident Advisory Committee – 2 Openings, appointed by CAB Board of Directors
- SR Colorado Metropolitan District No. 2 – 2 Openings, election by registered voters
- SR Colorado Metropolitan District No. 3 – 4 Openings, election by registered voters
A brief description of each committee and board:
Community Standards Committee (CSC) – The CSC is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the governing documents (the Master Declaration and Sterling Ranch Code of Rules). The committee reviews complaints, conduct, and hearings then determine if a violation has occurred, and acts to remedy violations.
Design Advisory Committee (DAC) – The DAC serves in a support and advisory capacity to the Design Review Committee (DRC) with a specific focus on homeowner design submissions, compliance, and improvements. The committee reviews, advises, and provides recommendations to the DRC regarding homeowner applications for improvement or requests for a variance and the consistency with adopted Design Review standards. This is a newly formed committee in 2022.
Resident Advisory Committee (RAC) – The RAC considers and offers advisory recommendations solely on matters referred to it by CAB. The committee acts as a liaison between homeowners and CAB on topics referred by the Board. These topics may include landscape maintenance, safety, events and activities, policies, budgeting, aesthetics of CAB-owned or maintained property, and other special projects.
Metropolitan Districts (No. 2 and 3) Board – The MD boards are responsible for the financial administration of the district. These Districts are financing districts that exist to account for and transfer certain revenues to fund capital costs and operation and maintenance costs of public improvements to the CAB. The Districts are responsible for the multi-fiscal year financial obligations to fund the capital and operations and maintenance costs.
