TORONTO Conference Highlights

On July 29, 2017, IAWF, in partnership with Tirgan, held its first international Iranian Women's Leadership Conference in the prestigious Aga Khan Museum in Toronto, Canada. By any measure, our first international conference was a great success. The conference was sold-out one month in advance, with more than 80 people on the waiting list. The conference, being the first Women's Leadership Conference with a focus on Iranian women, received a strong support from the Canadian government at both federal and provincial levels. A special video-message from Prime Minister Trudeau was a pleasant surprise for the audience. In addition, we were honored to have Minister Kirsty Duncan, Premier Kathleen Wynne, and Minister Reza Moridi speak in person at our opening session.

Panels and workshops featured speakers from Canada and the United States, including  Parisa Khosravi  (Keynote speaker), former CNN Senior Executive, Founder and President of Payam Global Strategies LLC and many other accomplished women.

Attendees were uplifted and inspired by successful women from all walks of life to work hard, pursue their dreams, and show the world how strong Iranian women are. The strong positive feedback that we received from the audience in Toronto reminds us that our contribution knows no boundaries and encourages us to expand our operations to other countries.

The Iranian American Women Foundation would like to thank all the speakers, exhibitors, participants, Toronto planning committee, and volunteers for joining IAWF and making the event possible with their great support. We are particularly grateful for Tirgan's dedication to this project and commitment to perfecting every single aspect of this event.
